Anyone else finding this game rather hard to start off? -

Ok so I downloaded the free trial and done the tutorial and I'm bored of mining and agent missions cause it's just the same thing over and over and some people told me I can make money ratting or something so I go to kill some npc pirates but it pays peanuts and it's boring too. So it's like how do I make money in the game to keep buying new ships without being bored to hell? Everything atm is soooo repetitive and atleast in other mmorpgs the quests have some variety and exploring the envrioment is actually fun. However in EVE all the envrioment is normally is a picture for a background and then astroids with a little building and some npc pirates sitting by it.
All I want to do is PVP but I just feel like the game isn't rewarding me at all for killing players but punishing me. The game makes out that killing other players is wrong and yet it's the only fun thing about the game and if my security rating goes down tooo low I can't go into safe space and yet it's like I havn't won in PVP once. All that happens is I got to say 0.4 in a Kestrel and before i've even loaded up someones podded me and i'm thinking to myself what kinda shitty mechanic is this? Why do they allow people to camp at gates in this game? Atleast give me fucking time to load up....
Everyones got bigger ships and more trained skills than me and if I want money right now I have 2 BORING options of agent missions or mining............
There should be like Battlegrounds where you don't loose anything for new players so I can actually learn without it costing isk because I really can't be bothered with sitting there for days transfering ore into a can or doing the same agent mission over and over.
There also need to be better envrioments and some good PVE instead of gaygents.
