They will probably not change their business model for Wow anytime soon, as long as it keeps bringing in hundreds of millions. Future MMOGs however...

If balanced correctly, RMTs, real money transactions, can be okay. What you must do is make sure that Sue can beat Billy because she can afford $100 in equipment and Billy can't. It must be balanced.

Ive found that theres not much grinding in runescape. and with 200+ quests you never run out of stuff to do.

I agree with Zonte, listen to music and do as much other stuff as possible... i actually managed to read half a book when playing EVE =F And yeha, grinding can be ok, but botting is kind of senseless to me because, why let someone else "play" your game? kind of makes the game pointless at all... And i think i've "grinding/running" bosses on Diablo2 the most... Then the endless "Helper Quests" where you have to kill a number of mobs/get them to drop a number of items that really takes longer than it looks... and Lineage 2 because i wante to buy me the cute sword =< Don't really know any more games where i "excesivly" grinded anything...
