Grinding sucks so bad. I wish MMOs would have so many quests that you'd never have to grind.

Some games you dont have to "grind" for example guild wars. i got to lvl 20 by the time i finished questing, and then deleted game because pvp in there sucks

Well, from time to time, grinding can be ok. To make a quick cash or get some specific item you're looking for.
But I agree that grinding should never be the only way of leveling up/advancing in a game

Play in windowed mode, listen to music you like, talk on AIM/MSN while you're resting, and don't think about what you're doing. Pay attention to the music instead. It takes the bite out of grinding.

When AC was released, I leveled a toon to 20, by identifying items and people. Later I made a tradeskill character, who made level 90 and had only killed 3x (1 was a rabbit).

Only thing a heavy grind mechanic does is encourage bots.

I would say get used to it, if you didn't grind you would have nothing else to do.. I guess I don't find it that bad because I played EQ for 5 years and that was one gigantic grind fest lol..

The longest grind per level I found was EQ, Lineage 2 and FFXI...
