Rant Age of Shadows and Ultima Online

I am one of the old UO players that much preferred the pre-AoS playstyles. T2A was the best, but even with the implementation of Trammel things were still very active in both facets. I logged into UO for the first time in about a year and just got angry due to the atmosphere of the game nowadays. The PvP element seems to have died a long time ago. I miss the old *official* servers that would make your heart pound every time you left the guarded areas.

Maybe Darkfall can fill this void as it seems their intentions are to do so.

Ultima is still a good social game for those who were not fortunate enough to experience it in its prime, but for those of us who did, it's no longer what it used to be. I know this has been said numerous times, but I have never really expressed my discontent on the subject. I loved having a game that I could get on, fight for 20 minutes, and log out of if I wanted to without any waiting or losses.

Those were truly it's prime years and still some of the best times in MMO history!
